Sometimes working out and dieting just does not budge that stubborn cellulite. In this case, the only other available option may be liposuction, a surgery that gets rid of cellulite for good. Liposuction is a popular way to beat this stubborn fat, though the procedure itself can seem rather frightening.

Since liposuction is not a form of reconstructive surgery, most insurance companies will not cover this treatment. Still, it might be a necessary surgery if you are starting to feel depressed regarding your appearance. Simply removing a few pounds of fat can really help you to feel better about your body.

The problem with diet and exercise is you cannot really go after a specific spot of the body. You either lose weight as a whole or not. Liposuction works the opposite way. It removes from specific spots, not the body as a whole. Have cellulite on your thighs? It can do the job.

Liposuction should only be performed by a plastic surgeon. It is a surgical procedure, which means there are proper techniques involved. Sloppy work can lead to real problems including infection, bruising and even serious complications.

Liposuction pretty much does what it sounds like. There are different techniques, but most involve creating an insertion in the skin, sliding a tube in and then sucking out fat from the area. It is not so much a weight loss tool as a way to shape certain areas of your body.

Many people go through liposuction every year with pleasing results. Still, you should know that there are a few complications that can occur with liposuctions. Most are not life threatening. Complications include infection, swelling, toxic shock syndrome, and embolisms.

Every case is different including yours. You should always go through a detailed discussion of the risks and benefits with your surgeon prior to making any decisions. The vast majority of liposuction cases go fine, but know what you are getting into.

If you have weight issues, liposuction can go a long way to regaining your self confidence. The procedure is fairly quick, but can leave you really sore. That being said, it is clearly the fastest way to remove the cellulite material you simply cannot get rid of with diet and exercise.

Ah, but what about afterwards? Well, you are going to be sore. Really sore. Still, the doctor will give you some pain medications and the soreness should be gone in a few days. Then it is just you, the mirror and your beautiful body sans cellulite!
